DC Ice Breakers is a GLBTQ social group. We ice skate at the Kettler Capitals Iceplex in Ballston on the 3rd Wednesday night of each month, with a social after at a local bar. But we also host party game nights, lazy river tubing, high-speed boat cruises, winery tours, and so much more!

Ice skating novices are welcome at our skating events - many of the people who join us have never skated before. Or feel free to come just for the social.

We're always looking for new ideas - feel free to make suggestions!

Mark your calendars for the 4^th annual - and the largest - LGBT professional networking and social event of the year! On Wednesday, March 14, 2012, the Capital Area Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce and Town Danceboutique have invited us to connect with dozens of other LGBT networking and professional groups to mix, mingle and have a great time. There is NO COVER. Complimentary appetizers and a cash bar will be available. Last year over 1,600 people attended this free event.

The 4th Annual Mega Networking and Social Event is scheduled for March 14th at Town Danceboutique, 2009 8th Street NW, DC (Metro Green Line to U Street, Vermont exit to 10th street, 2 blocks on the right) from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. If you've been to a Team DC Casino Night, you know what a blast it is. Several hundred people turn out and PACK the place. Mark your calendars for the next Casino Night - at Buffalo Billiards, 1330 19th Street, NW (Dupont Circle), on Saturday, May 19, from 8 pm - midnight. Play blackjack or poker. Win GREAT prizes! And there'll be drink specials all night long. Join us!

We generally skate the 3rd Wednesday night of each month, at the Kettler Capitals Iceplex, on top of the Ballston Common Mall parking garage, 627 N. Glebe Road, Arlington. After skating, we hit a local bar for a social hour. Skating is $8 + $3 for skate rental. Skating is from 8:00-9:00 pm, with a social from 9:00 pm - ??? Plenty of cheap parking in the mall - and just 2 blocks from the Ballston Metro.
